Gandhinagar: Due to heavy rains in the state, millions of hectares of land including groundnut and cotton have failed, while insurance companies are pretending to pay insurance, in the meantime, the state government has announced the importance of giving a package of Rs 3,795 crore to 56.36 lakh farmers, where more than 1 inch. Farmers in rained villages will get Rs. 6800 per hectare, with 81 taluk farmers having less than 1 inch of rainfall. Assistance will be paid Rs 4000 per one hectare, the farmer will get a maximum return on 2 hectares of land.
Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel has announced that in view of the farmers' situation, the government has decided to give them a relief package of Rs 3795 crore. Which will benefit 56.36 lakh farmers of 18 thousand villages of the state, of which 81 talukas are not damaged due to rainfall but assistance will also be given to the farmers, who have received crop insurance, the insurance companies have to provide assistance, besides the government will provide assistance. The central government will provide Rs 2,154 crore from this package, the state government will pay Rs 1,643 crore.

The government had earlier announced a package of Rs 700 crore, but it has been announced again that the amount is less and the amount will be credited to the farmers' account with RTGS.
