Class Of The Country In The Field Of Health. The Government Has Now Decided To
Include Middle Class Families In The Ayushyaman Bharat Yojana. Now Even A
Middle Class Family Will Get An Annual Health Cover Of Rs 5 Lakh For Treatment.
Earlier, The Scheme Was Applicable Only To The Poor. But Now Even Middle Class
People Will Be Able To Get Their Treatment Through Ayushyaman Bharat Yojana.
In Addition, The Government Has Decided To Consolidate All
Its Health Insurance Schemes Under The Lifelong India Prime Minister's Public
Health Scheme (AB PM-JAY). The Scheme Has Been Approved Across The Country By
The Governing Council Of The National Health Authority (NHA), The Body
Implementing The Scheme Across The Country. So That The Middle Class Can Benefit
From This Scheme.
Currently The Scheme Will Be Started On A Pilot Project, So
That It Is Understood What Steps Need To Be Taken To Implement The Scheme
Effectively. At Present, 54 Crore People From 10.7 Crore Families Of The
Country Are Benefiting From The Lifetime India Scheme. Under This Scheme,
Treatment Up To Rs 5 Lakh Is Provided Free Of Cost In Hospitals.
Who Will Get The
Benefit Of This Scheme?
The National Health Authority Said That The Biggest
Beneficiaries Of Expanding The Scheme Would Be Those Working In The Unorganized
Sector, Who Have So Far Stayed Away From Any Health Insurance Scheme. In Addition
To Those Working In The Unorganized Sector, The Scheme Will Also Benefit
Self-Employed, Those Working In The MSME Sector And Middle Class Farmers.
Union Health Minister Dr. Harshvardhan Said The Governing
Board Of The National Health Authority Has Approved The Integration Of Health
Schemes Run By Various Ministries Of The Government Of India Into The Living
India Scheme. It Will Benefit People Working On Contract In The Public And
Private Sectors, Construction Workers, Central Armed Forces Personnel And
Victims Of Road Accidents.
