Scheme to provide financial assistance to farmers for constructing iron barbed wire fences around the farm

There is a plan to provide financial assistance to farmers to build iron barbed wire fences around the farm to prevent damage to their crops by wild animals.

 Plan:

 Under this scheme the farmer / farmers will have to apply by forming a cluster of their lands in groups.  An area of ​​at least five hectares will be allowed for all categories of farmers.

 According to the cluster of land, the group of beneficiaries will have to approve the assistance of Rs. 200 per running meter or 50% of the actual cost whichever is less.

 The application has to be received through i-farmer portal and the approval of the state government has to be obtained for the allocation of district wise targets.  In case of more applications, online draw system will have to be allowed.  But applications not selected in the draw at the end of the year will have to be carried forward to the following year so that the beneficiary does not need to re-apply.

 Before approving the application, the wire fencing at the site has to be checked by third party inspection and even after the completion of the operation, it has to be checked by third party inspection and the final payment has to be made only after third party inspection report.  GPS location tagging should be done at the time of verification.

 Farmers will not be able to build low quality or low material wire fences from the design decided.  If fencing is constructed at a higher cost by the farmer group, the farmers will have to bear the cost in addition to the prescribed assistance.

 Farmers will get the benefit of this scheme only once in that survey number and those who have got the benefit of this scheme earlier will not be able to get the benefit of this scheme as a member of the re-group for the survey number.
